Blackboard Banter and some other bits and pieces
I wanted to give you folks another reminder, which I can’t promise will be the last, of the third and final Blackboard Banter session – this Thursday, 5th July, from 3 until 4pm in the Council Chamber.
Drink coffee, get an eyeful (and earful) of a presentation by myself as to current project news and upcoming things to be aware of. I promise to deliver a presentation filled with intrigue, excitement, passion, betrayal, zombies – ok, wait. Scratch those last two.
In any case, the upgrade to Service Pack 8 is going well. The LTT are working hard testing the new system so we can be sure that it works properly when we release it back to Brunel.
The pilot School issue of not being able to access certain student submissions and data has been thoroughly and expertly solved, and served as a valuable lesson for the future.
Some dates I am looking forward to:
The Project Board meeting, next Monday. An excellent opportunity as always to update the Board on progress and enter into a lively discussion about all things TEL.
Next Wednesday,(11th), Paal and I will be presenting to Council. I assume it will be about the project, but we’re meeting Mariann tomorrow to discuss content; who knows – we might be thrown a curve ball. (I was going to mention some bizarre and no doubt hilarious topics here, but I don’t want to give Mariann any ideas!)
I will update on all this of course. And seeing as this is my first blog post typed on an iPad, I think I deserve some kind of prize.
…standing ovation?
…pat on the back..?
…hello? Anyone?…
More updates soon
